“Honey, I was hoping I wouldn’t have to tell you this, but I don’t really like going grocery shopping with you for this exact reason.” He gently removed the list from my hand. “We don’t have time for you to thumb through the basket putting things back, and picking it up again. You cruise around the grocery for hours,” he said, waving his hand in the air. “I’m not walking around aimlessly, looking up and down every single isle.”
“I don’t do any of that,” I shrieked.
I glared at him as he tossed turkeys in the basket without looking at the weight.
“You don’t go to the grocery store with a list. You make it all up as you walk down each isle.” He laughed to himself.
“I’m happy you shared all of this with me. You can finish without me.” I turned on my heels, leaving him with his underweight turkeys.
